Aloha all my ohana (that means you all my customers and frenz), due to on going illness of my dear friend Sharon Turner of Hilo's own Island Edge Beads and Supplies, will be canceling all ARTIST OF THE MONTH meet and greets, Held on FIRST FRIDAYS in Down Town Hilo.
Gary, Sharon's son, who mans the store while she's gone, told me she's getting better, but recovery has been slow due to some complications. He said she's hoping to resume classes and artist of the month by the end of the year. But that's no guarantee.
So sorry to lead you all on, I was really looking forward to seeing all of you in July. But that's ok, we'll meet sooner or later.
Mahalo for always being supportive of my work as and artist and a craftswoman.
Peace,
PK

FIRST FRIDAY FESTIVITIES in Hilo Hawaii...
Happy Aloha Friday World. Here in our sleepy little town of Hilo, on the Big Island of Hawaii, were celebrating February's First Friday Festivities, with a few new shop openings. We'd like to welcome our long time friend Eve Anderson {owner of Island Art Supply}, and her new business partner Amy Markham to the Hilo Community with their NEW ART GALLERY called ONE Gallery, hosting a myriad of talented local artist in a range of amazing styles and mediums. {For you Hilo folk, they're on the corner of Mamo St. and Kilauea Ave.}
We'd also like to give a warm aloha to Sharon Turner, of ISLAND EDGE BEADS, {located across of Luigi's on Kilauea Ave.} for keeping us local beaders stocked with all the latest goodies from her many bead shopping adventures to the mainland. Sharon is also introducing her new ARTIST OF THE MONTH, for February and showcasing a list of new classes ranging from METAL CLAY, WIRE WRAPPING, AND MUCH MUCH MORE.
And we just can't forget Sherry Lim, the lovely owner of IT'S DE JAVU, who was so kind to FEATURE STONE & BONE'S custom made wire wrapped jewelry in her very quaint boutique. Trust me when I say, it's Hilo's little secret. Hilo people you just gotta stop in and see the gems in this cute little SHABBY CHIC BOUTIQUE.
We'll lovelies, I'm off to hit the town, hope to catch up soon. Always love to hear from you.
