Yep, that's right we did it. Our little sleepy town of Hilo Hawaii, did it, we had our very first Etsy Meet UP Party. With only 10 Hilo etsians showing up, it was a great first time ever. And trust me in Hilo, that was pretty amazing. Our local was at a very quint bed and breakfast and a little street side cafe called BROKE THE MOUTH. The fair was lovely and the atmosphere was just perfect. (Who knew that this little gem even existed.
Any who, we all talked about how we love etsy, the ups and downs of monthly sales, marketing our location better, and putting our little town on the map. We know that the other Hawaiian Islands get more publicity, everyone knows of HONOLULU HAWAII, OR MAUI, but HILO, well we're working on that. Besides just talking shop, we all had a great time getting to know each other and putting a face to avatars on our etsy pages.
I had a wonderful time, I figure so did the others, and we hope to do it again real soon. We got plans on the works to create our own Hilo Etsy Team, facebook page and local events state and Island wide. Who knows, big things happen in little towns and we're going to do our best to get Hilo in updated.
